Meet The Core Team

Claire M.
I joined Third Moon at the time of Emma Moreton's initial Croning weekend back in 2023 (ish).
I love this time in my life, and I feel strongly that the world that really needs the voices of its elder women singing out loud and strong. With that in mind, I am a citizen scientist for Love Our Ouse, a printmaker in the Ringmer Art Wave Collective and a member of the Anglesey Druid Order.
Like many of you multitasking women out there, I am also holding (with lots of love) a busy multigenerational family.
May our paths be filled with joy every day and may we find strength in each other's example.

Emma K.
My name is Emma, I am Irish., I love Sheela na gig, dancing and drumming, and am partial to a bit of karaoke. I care about the environment and do some citizen science.
I have been with Third Moon for about 3 years. I love the sense of community and how we empower each other. I feel that women in the 3rd moon phase have a powerful role to play in the world.

Janelle R.
Hi, I’m Janelle,
I was raised by my mother in the sixties. I’m now a mother of three, grandmother of six. Hubs and I have been together since our teens. I am a qualified florist, and have had training in counselling. I've worn many hats, one of my proudest being an environmental activist and steering group member of The Warriors Call.
I joined a Druid order at 40. It is my pleasure to serve as celebrant for the TMW multi-faith and non group. I am also the meeting coordinator with Third Moon Women for the monthly meetings. I’m a strict vegetarian. I enjoy being creative, walking the South Downs with my dog Finn, and exploring the history of medieval witch trials.

Ruth C.
I first joined this group in early 2024 because I loved our mission: to be inclusive, supportive, and empowering. I love a good research challenge and am always happy to muck in wherever I’m needed most.

As well as working for a community group in my downtime, I write songs as a hobby and, like many of us, have an extensive craft collection!
Between my experience as a mum, a foster mum, a grandmother to a 19-year-old, and my years working in caring roles, I’ve learned that no task is too big or too small when it’s for your community. We are truly a force to be reckoned with when we work together!

Susan S.
I have been a member of the Third Moon Women for several years, and it’s been a wonderful
discovery of (amongst other things) learning, new experiences, contemplating and understanding
beliefs and ideas that I was not familiar with. And, of course, making lovely new friends!
I found my way to East Sussex, after living for many years in Spain, bringing along with me a Spanish
husband and our two Spanglish daughters! The sea and the Downs have come to be such an important part of my life, and I am happiest when out in nature. I am an enthusiastic environmentalist and do all I can to help protect our beautiful Earth.
I am recently retired and now spend a lot of time with my grandchildren and enjoy crochet (learning
to knit, it’s slow!), sewing, baking and gardening. I love reading and the opera.
