Empowering Women

​

We encourage every woman in our community to step into the fullness of her potential. We are non-hierarchical and actively encourage and enable women in our community to be full participants in decision-making, identifying our core values, and shaping the direction of the community. Our aim is to encourage women to understand and embrace the power of the Third Moon Stage of life, to build a strong sense of self and in turn empower other women.

Inclusive 

​

We welcome and celebrate each woman in our community. Whilst we have an emphasis on women in the Third Moon stage of life, we actively welcome women from other life stages who are wanting to connect and join in with us. We are a richly diverse, non-clique, multi-faith group. Our community consists of women from different backgrounds, worldviews and intersections coming together and learning from one another. We value our diversity and actively promote cross-pollination, working together, and building friendships. We aim to dismantle barriers that keep people apart and be a flagship for positive connections and healthy relationships. We aim to make everything we do accessible to all women.

Empowering

​

We want women to benefit, grow, and feel empowered through being a part of TMW. We work hard to avoid being inward-focused and desire that our activities and events, as far as possible, make a positive impact on the wider community of women. We actively connect with other groups of women and look for ways to support and empower women in a variety of ways. We are intentional about building healthy relationships and networking.

Core Resilience

​

We encourage women to strengthen themselves, to know their giftings, to recover who they are at core, to embrace the powerful Third Moon / Crone stage of life with a positive mindset.  Our aim is for every woman to be informed, intentional, and experience what it means to be a Community Elder and Woman of Wisdom. This intention aids us in both our personal and community growth. We aim for our all our spaces and activities to be as safe as possible, but also as brave as possible. This is needed as we engage with our own stories, our liberty, and empowerment. We want each woman to feel free to be her authentic, non-moderated self. Building core resilience can be both healing and transformative.

Playfully Creative

 

We will explore new ideas, be open to each other’s way of seeing the world and in so doing, we will expand our own boundaries and create new understandings. We celebrate our strengths and wisdom as we rewrite old patriarchal scripts. We help each other feel capable of trying out new possibilities and ways of being. We laugh, sing, dance, cry, make things, bake things, break things, learn together, skill share, experience new things, discover hidden depths, and make a lot of new friendships. We tread lightly and kindly in the world with warmth, and where necessary, irreverence. Our intention is to become the change we would like to see for all women.

TMW Community Description

​

TMW is all about women (in or nearing) the Third Moon Stage of life, we are exploring and embracing what it means to be female elders and women of wisdom. As a diverse, multi-faith group of women from different backgrounds and experiences, we find ways to push back against the “anti-ageing” aspects of our culture and celebrate the gifts associated with this stage of life. We are intentional in our gatherings and activities, celebrating seasonally, creatively, reflectively and through gentle and strategic activism. Our aim is to empower, equip and strengthen ourselves and the wider community of women. This happens through friendship and connection, learning, pushing boundaries, activism, and being encouraged to fulfil our potential.

Our vision: To be a revolutionary movement of “Third Moon Women” who intentionally connect, empower and equip other women through friendship, creativity and fun. To help women know their innate worth and value, to fulfil their potential and to be a strategic force of good for women in our community and the wider world.
