When women come together, they inevitably create something special, and last weekend's retreat was no exception. It was a gentle day, spent out of the heat of this summer, honouring the lives of women of the past, enjoying each other's creativity, and nurturing ourselves. I take strength from those stories, woven into our beautiful Downland landscape, and stand a little bit taller in the shoes of those amazing Sussex women. "A day set aside for “me time” is a welcome retreat from the bustle of life. It takes an awareness of our need for self-care, and a little determination to make it happen. Last weekend TMW provided such a day. It was a wonderful reminder of just how important that time can be for ourselves.
