Solstice Banquet 2025
Catsfield Village Hall
Read a little about our most recent banquet, where group members in their own words, describe the evening.

Kat's Story
When I joined the third moon woman I totally had no idea what to expect but on reading some posts on Facebook and attending a few meetings before reading about the Solstice banquet I was excited to explore this new adventure further so I volunteered to help out, I had wanted to make new connections and possibly friendships with like minded women.

I was happy to help in anyway I could. When I arrived at the venue I had taken along an eclectic collection of items that connected me to nature to help decorate the hall.
I watched the transformation of this ordinary village hall into something beautiful and magical.

From the amazing oversized glitterball to the different sets of salt and pepper pots placed on each of the tables.

Looking around at the women all working together supporting each other my curiosity grew.

Why did the women up the ladder have such a huge glitter ball? Which woman had that amount of salt and pepper pots to hand? Why had someone bought a mannequin to a banquet. Among other items.

All of this just added to my curiosity and gave me a feeling that I could belong.
When the final decoration was placed and new arrivals came into the wonderland I received a distressing phone call.

My body language conveyed my distress. It was at this point, a leading lady appeared in front of me she asked me to put down my bags and invited me into her personal space.
She acknowledged my stress and wrapped her arms around me.

This one gesture of kindness and acceptance answered my curiosity.

I had found a group of like minded spiritual creative open minded individuals where I could explore and express my thoughts and feelings in a safe space.

The laying out of delicious foods to suit a variety of dietary and chosen needs again awakened a curiosity to my taste buds.

Getting into circle to open and welcome all to the meeting was a bit daunting there was a song to learn the words to. I hadn’t expected that.

My work phone continued to ring, I missed whatever came next as I broke the circle to deal with whatever drama was unfolding.

I returned to find all seated and beginning to help themselves from the buffet.

The pulling of festive crackers and wearing the paper hats telling the corny jokes added to the fun of the evening. Stories were shared.

The ladies seated at my table were interesting and interested in what I had to say.

The cloak was introduced and someone mentioned more patches were required to work down the sleeves. Once again my creativity kicked in and I volunteered to complete one. Shapes cut from miraculously found pieces of coloured felt were exchanged.

The evening went by way to quickly but I wasn’t able to stay to the end.

A volunteer offered to gather all my items and I sadly left.

Excited to meet again with these beautiful amazing women that I now felt a part of

Thank you TMW.

Sally's Thoughts
Reflecting back to our lovely mid winter feast. I was so glad l managed to get to this beautiful oasis in the middle of the darkness.(I had to overcome my fear of driving alone at night) What a beautiful venue, so lovingly decorated by earth angels. The food created lovingly by each of us. The warmth and beautiful smiles of welcome to friends we've made and also new ones. The fun, laughter and love sent out in our lsmall rituals. Nobody needs to feel alone. Please if you're thinking of coming along to join us you will be so welcome. Love and sisterhood.
